Alexander Dunn, Randy Pile, Robert Ward & Jacob Cordover – guitar quartet

Between 1924 and 1932, before the Spanish Civil War, the composer Joaquín Turina composed out of friendship for Los Aguilars, a family quartet of lute instruments. Ninety-one years later, these works have been composed for guitar quartet by Alexander Dunn, completing a journey from the Spanish Civil War to the present day in an incarnation entirely appropriate to Turina’s esthetic. In collaboration with Conservatori Municipal de Música de Barcelona.
