The ensemble Como era en un principio proposes a dialogue between the ancient Spanish baroque and the African and indigenous musical manifestations of Latin America. Through the sound interaction between instruments and rhythms from the colonial past with current recordings of indigenous musicians, the sounds of the past and the present are transformed.
