In the prelude to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Cadiz master Manuel de Falla, Catalonia pays tribute to him and vindicates the echo of Catalan society towards Modernism that marked the destiny of his musical language. Barcelona was the center of his great premieres and the friendship with the illustrious guitarist Miquel Llobet elevated the symbiosis of two great musicians to a new era in guitar literature.

Talk given by Jorge de Persia, music critic at La Vanguardia, has been director of the Manuel de Falla Archive and the CSIC, and Dr. Javier Suárez-Pajares, professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, expert on Falla and his relationship with the guitar. Moderated by José Galeote, composer and coordinator of the Llobet Competition in Barcelona.
